The weather in Paphos Cyprus is very mild and even when it turns cold as soon as the rain finishes the day continues to sunny. Popular beaches include the Coral Bay which a long stretching for about 1.5 Km of sand and a lot of people use, other less known and unspoiled though such as the Lara Bay that is 6km long and the Timi Village area are only some of the nice beaches available.
The town itself is very green with much of citrus trees and other and the roads excluding the Akamas Peninsula are very good in condition, we highly recommend hiring a car preferably a 4X4 and visit places away from the Main tourism area as you will soon understand that Cyprus is far from the beaten truck of sun and sea tourism. Culture, observing the local people way of life in the cafes and small taverns, the people selling fruit at the market is an important add-on for experiencing Cyprus.
About Paphos
The resort tourism area is divided into two main areas the "Harbour" and the "Tombs of the Kings" road areas. Other areas are the "Coral Bay" area which a small area near to the Akamas Nature Reserve land.
Tomb of the Kings
Outwards from the Paphos Harbour is the Tombs of the Kings Road that leads to Coral Bay. The near-by beach is the Lighthouse beach behind the Mosaics of Paphos. It is a match smaller area than the harbour with many family run hotels, shops and restaurants and offered for a relaxing holiday at near-by from the busy main tourism area. The Old part of Paphos, has its many shops and the market place with its old traditional buildings and modern shops. Interest to this part of the town is during day-time when shops are open. The Paphos Museum, the Ethnographical museum is the most important places in this area.
Nea Paphos (Harbour) Area
This area is the busiest area. The small fishing Harbour in combination with the sites such as the Castle and the Mosaics as also other make it very popular for visiting. The Bar street is also located in this area just of the Harbour.
Suggest to visit this area during the Night for a stroll or for a drink by the cafes for a quiet night or to continue in the Bar street for nightlife.

Captain's View Restaurant, located on the sea-front is on the first floor overlooking the sea of the Paphos Harbour is a fairly good restaurant offering fish as much close as it can be to fresh. Combining the fish sold for fresh on the promenade next to the castle the fish offered at this restaurant would be just caught from the sea.

Fun-Bus excursion, in a Bedford bus of 1930's that was used as means of transportation for the Villages of Paphos, takes you to archeologically interesting places, culture exploration such as the villages to see the traditional life of the Cypriots and to places of natural beauty such as the Adonis Falls.

Boat Trips, This trip starts from the Paphos Harbour and ends at the Coral Bay with some stops on the way for swimming. If you choose the sunset cruise, watching the sunset as you cruise is a truly nice way to finish a day.
Sub-Marine, board this sub-marine and let it take you to the deep wreckages of the Mediterranean, the Zynobia that sunk in the 1970's. The Ship is still in good shape and you can still see the cars and other that the ship was carrying to Cyprus.
Go Karts, a very nice karting is the Paphos Karting Centre with about 2000m of road with curves and bridges and very powerful go-karts.
